About Rabbi Rudin
 
Rabbi Gavriel Rudin grew up in Passaic, New Jersey. He spent many years studying in-depth Talmud and Halachah (Jewish Law). He received his semicha (Rabbinic Ordination) from Ner Yisroel in Baltimore. After receiving his semicha, Rabbi Rudin and his family spent two years teaching and inspiring Jews of the San Francisco Bay Area as a Rabbi at the Jewish Study Network of Palo Alto, California. The Rudins then moved to Norfolk, Virginia, where Rabbi Rudin served as the Outreach Coordinator for the Norfolk Kollel and assisted the Rabbi of B'nai Israel Congregation with teaching, programming and outreach. Rabbi Rudin is excited to bring his talents and energy north of the border to the Young Israel of Ottawa.
 
Rabbi Rudin currently gives many weekly classes on a variety of topics. In addition, he is available for one-on-one study, Rabbinic counselling or to officiate at all life-cycle events. To contact Rabbi Rudin you can email him at rabbi@yiofo.ca.
 
About Rebbetzin Rudin
Rebbetzin Malka Rudin was born in Tucson, Arizona and spent most of her formative years in Monsey, New York. She is a trained social worker and a full time mother of their seven children. In addition, she finds time to connect to Jewish women of all backgrounds and to learn with them one-on-one or in small groups. Her occasional classes are always well liked and inspiring. The Rudins keep an open home that is constantly filled with guests and is the site of many shul events.
